Our Porto office is located in Portugal's vibrant second city, known for its history and its creative yet cozy environment.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Head of Legal in Portugal and Group DPO, you will work with the wider legal team and our teams with the aim to ensure that the Farfetch Group keeps complying with the privacy standards applicable worldwide, providing advice on all aspects related to data protection compliance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Reply to data protection queries regarding specific projects of the Group Companies;
- Work on the ongoing projects of ensuring Farfetch Group's compliance with global Data Protection Laws;
- Support the continued compliance with GDPR;
- Monitor and update on new laws, regulations, guidelines, and court rulings that may arise over Privacy matters, with a focus on the jurisdictions where the Group has established offices.
- Support the review of Data Protection Clauses in an array of agreements, both in the position of controller and processor.
- Working on material business projects across the group, as part of the Legal team unit put together for such projects or autonomously
- Assist the DPO in assessing new projects and providers regarding compliance with the Group privacy standards.
- Help in the development of integration plans for newly acquired businesses into Farfetch Group's privacy framework;
WHO YOU ARE
- Be a qualified lawyer with +3 years' PQE (professional experience after internship);
- Have working experience in Data Protection Law, ideally in retail, ecommerce, and/or technology sectors;
- Have advanced knowledge of GDPR;
- Knowledge of UK and USspecific data privacy laws and ICO guidelines is a plus;
- Have an excellent level of English, both written and spoken;
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
