Location:  Oeiras, Lisbon, Portugal Type:  Full-Time As a  Technical Support Engineer , you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of tolling systems by delivering advanced technical support and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Your Responsibilities Will Include: Advanced Troubleshooting:  Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues beyond L1 capabilities.
Incident Management:  Prioritize and resolve incidents promptly, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
Escalation Handling:  Escalate unresolved issues to L3 teams or specialized support groups when required.
Knowledge Sharing:  Document solutions and share expertise with L1 teams to enhance overall efficiency.
Customer Interaction:  Engage with customers to understand their issues, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
Root Cause Analysis:  Investigate and analyze the root cause of issues to prevent recurrence.
Key Requirements Technical Skills: Proficiency in  Linux OS ,  Java ,  web-based applications , and  SQL databases .
Strong understanding of  networking protocols , roadside communication systems, and troubleshooting.
Experience in maintaining hardware such as cameras, sensors, and tolling equipment is a plus.
Expertise in  system integration , ensuring seamless communication between components.
Familiarity with  cybersecurity  measures to protect tolling systems.
Ability to analyze tolling system data for trends, issues, and optimization opportunities.
Qualifications: Degree in  Computer Science ,  Information Technology , or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g.,  ITIL ,  CompTIA A+ ,  CCNA ) are highly valued.
Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within the  transportation or tolling industry .
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in  Portuguese  and  English .
