A Day in the Life
Technical support of our Spine therapies and technologies. In this role you’ll assist our customers inside the OR with technical knowledge, support technical decision making and troubleshooting. The expected impact of this role is in increased service perceived by the customer, proceeded by few complications, more satisfaction and customer loyalty.
Opportunity to be part of the CST team, as an intern, witnessing firsthand the impact our technology has on patients. This role establishes a high level of interaction with clients due to the extensive technical knowledge they provide, offer technical support to hospitals, and collaborate with the internal team to provide solutions that meet the needs and improve the overall customer experience.
In this role, the intern will be learning and helping covering procedures for Cranial and Spinal implants in the north of Portugal supporting the CST team.
Internship details:
- Start date: 1st of December
- Duration: 12 months
- Work model: remote with on-site support
- Based in Porto with availability to travel throughout the national territory
- Working time: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Join other TCs and Sales Reps during Cranial and Spinal procedures (shadowing activity in the first 6months)
- Support Cranial and Spinal procedures regarding navigation techniques, spinal instruments and implant techniques, intra-op imaging for navigation, robotic cases.
- Prepare & plan cases beforehand to ensure smooth support during procedures (anticipate if all necessary materials are available and shipped for procedures, prepare all workflow of the procedure to secure efficiency and resources)
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Assist in device inventory management, maintain updated records of repairs and maintenance, collaborate in documenting technical procedures, and support administrative tasks such as report preparation, tracking actions following company guidelines, and request follow-up.
- Participate in training programs to acquire in-depth knowledge of procedures, therapy, and devices, stay informed about the latest updates and technological advances, and provide guidance and assistance to users regarding product useandbenefits.
- Keep updated the commercial team on technological advances, use cases and share best practices across the country.
Required knowledge:
- Recently graduated with min Bachelor Degree (2023/2024) or finishing Master Degree in Biomedical Engineering or engineering background.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Very proficient knowledge of MS office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook) - particularly at ease with Excel adoption
- Scientific and technical curiosity related to our therapies and technologies.
- Eager to grow and learn, comfortable with ambiguity and with dynamic work environment.
- Driving license
Would be a plus:
- Basic programming knowledge
- Matlab
- Spanish language
