**WHY IS THIS ROLE SO EXCITING?** This role will enable you to cultivate relationships with executives across the entire FinTech industry ecosystem - from startups to insurance companies and investors; all of whom are on the front lines of facilitating major transformation in the sector. This opportunity also presents a front row seat to this rapidly expanding sector so that you can chart your future career growth.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** The Associate would be fully responsible for all of the sales and account management process for InsurTech NY's event sponsorship program - which currently includes 5 x 100 person events in NY and SF, and a 1000-person conference in NY. The responsibility includes, but are not limited to, the following:

- Discovering new sponsor prospect leads (Outbound)
- Responding to new sponsor prospect leads (Inbound)
- Uncovering prospects needs and offering solutions we can offer and relentless follow up to get to a close
- Be a value-add partner to sponsors, beyond just event sponsorship, leveraging all of what InsurTech NY can offer

In addition, the associate will assist the Managing Director on sales related activities for other products InsurTech NY has, such as Coroporate Membership program, and InsurTech Fund.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Passion for sales - initiaiting and developing relationships and closing deals
- Strong aptitude for technology with ability to easily use and learn new technologies. Programming skills a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with high comfort and confidence to proactively pick up the phone and engage with stakeholders.
- Independent problem solver who takes ownership for projects and tackling new and/or unanticipated challenges.
- Knowledge of startup ecosystem a plus (but not required).
- Knowledge of Insurance and FinTech a plus (but not required).
