About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial and accounting processes to ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/Standards. You will support the Country Controller with independent auditors (external and internal) and complete and review accounting close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage administration of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control accounting, payroll, and local tax payments.
  • Help in allocation items in the Balance in coordination with the Local and GBS team.
  • Responsible for all taxes, including payment and calculation of all local taxes, and maintains all substantiation records for tax.
  • Prepare financial Statement, monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Committee, and financial reports to support the analysis of main KPI's.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards, and the internal Quality Management System.
Requirements
  • High experience in Accounting, ideally within matrix structures in multinational companies.
  • Previous experience in Auditing is welcomed.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese accounting regulations is a must.
  • Ability to work and coordinate with several departments, keeping good interpersonal skills.
  • Native Portuguese; fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must; knowledge of Spanish will be considered a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP.
