**Job Overview**

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join Dawn Foods as Financial Accounting Specialist supporting the European region. In this role, you will manage key financial processes and ensure compliance with global accounting standards, initially focusing on supporting our operations in Germany. As a result, intermediate German language skills are required.

**Responsibilities**

As a Financial Accounting Specialist at Dawn Foods, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading financial accounting and reporting processes, focusing on timely and accurate monthly consolidation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and group financial requirements, particularly for our German operations, including internal and external audits.
  • Supporting local compliance as tax returns, and relevant filings (CIT, VAT, etc.) providing information to internal and external tax specialists.
  • Managing monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, addressing discrepancies with the team promptly.
  • Implementing and managing cash flow forecasting and reporting for the business.
  • Maintaining control over the fixed asset register and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
  • Reviewing and maintaining close communication with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to ensure clean and accurate balances.
  • Accounting for Report activities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assisting in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, with an initial focus on German cost centres.

**Requirements**

To be successful as a Financial Accounting Specialist at Dawn Foods, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a multinational financial reporting environment.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience is advantageous.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; Intermediate German is required due to the focus on Germany.

**What We Offer**
