Indie Campers is a leading campervan marketplace on a mission to make road trips accessible to everyone. Our digital approach and customer-centric orientation have enabled us to develop a strong booking experience and offer high-quality road trips at affordable prices.

We have welcomed over 300,000 travelers from 169 countries through our travel platform, with more than one million nights rented. Our fleet operating model has expanded to include short-term RV rentals, long-term campervan subscriptions, and vehicle sales.

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Operations Strategist to join our team. As an expert in fleet lifecycle management, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies that ensure the smooth execution of processes related to infleeting, defleeting, and administrative tasks.

Your role will involve defining and standardizing procedures that guide local and regional teams in executing these processes efficiently and consistently across all operations globally. You will oversee the strategies for infleeting, defleeting, and administrative tasks, ensuring that vehicles are prepared for rental or sale according to the highest standards.

This position reports directly to the Asset Strategy Director and is crucial for maintaining fleet integrity, optimizing vehicle lifecycle management, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create strategies and processes related to the infleet process, ensuring that vehicles are properly introduced to the fleet
  • Guarantee that mechanisms for infleet coordination between teams are in place, minimizing time spent in the process
  • Develop strategies and processes related to the defleet process, ensuring that vehicles are efficiently prepared for sale
  • Design and manage strategies related to vehicle documentation, ensuring that all necessary documents are properly maintained and accessible
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of infleet, defleet, and admin processes, using data-driven insights to implement improvements and ensure operational efficiency and compliance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar
  • 4+ years of experience in a strategic consulting firm or a strategic role within operations or maintenance departments of companies managing global fleets
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle lifecycle management, including processes required for introducing and removing vehicles from the fleet, as well as managing vehicle documentation
  • PASSION FOR PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS AND HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL
  • Strong ability to analyze complex repair and maintenance data, develop insights, and translate them into actionable strategies enhancing operational efficiency and vehicle availability and reliability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
