About Our Team

Our team develops diagnosis and monitoring web applications to help consumers get the best out of their heating appliances and supports technicians with information to complete maintenance tasks, reduce energy consumption, and CO2 emissions.

The Role

As a Backend Engineer, you'll be an active voice in shaping and developing products that revolutionize residential heating and cooling solutions. You'll join a motivated team that fosters continuous improvement through learning, retrospectives, and feedback.

Your key responsibilities will include writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code, developing unit and integration tests, contributing to the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with other developers, product owners, and designers, identifying areas of improvement on our products and processes, reviewing code and solutions constructively, living the values and principles of Agile, sharing knowledge with teammates, and solidifying your experience in building event-based, asynchronous architectures.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Solid knowledge of Java
  • Ability to build and improve upon event-based, asynchronous architectures
  • Experience in building and using API-based products
  • Clear understanding of functional programming
  • Comfortable considering and applying software architecture patterns
  • Experience in agile software development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Working experience in backend or an academic degree in Informatics Engineering or similar
