Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at ALTER SOLUTIONS. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly and year-end closings.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Director to ensure effective financial management and control.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support the Accounting Director in month-end and year-end processes and reports.
  • Support the Group CFO in special tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of work experience in accounting and finance.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field from a recognized university.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge of Portuguese Tax legislation.
  • Previous experience in SAGE accounting software is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
