Fraud Investigator Role

AIG is seeking a skilled Fraud Investigator to join our Global Investigative Services team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Fraud Investigator, you will play a critical role in identifying and investigating potential insurance fraud, ensuring the integrity of our claims process, and protecting AIG's interests.

About the Role

As a Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into potential insurance fraud, analyzing complex data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent and detect fraud, as well as providing training and guidance to colleagues on fraud awareness and prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into potential insurance fraud, including analyzing complex data and interviewing witnesses.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent and detect fraud, including identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential fraud risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on fraud awareness and prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments related to fraud prevention and detection.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Portuguese is required, with a strong knowledge of Spanish and English highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in corporate or financial investigations, with a focus on fraud prevention and detection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
