BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our production plant in Viana, Portugal. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical assistance to mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, as well as programming, robotics, and laser equipment.
- Assist in the reception of new equipment, including installation, validation, and start-up.
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs of equipment, including preventive and corrective measures.
- Ensure the maintenance, cleaning, conservation, storage, and control of all material, appliances, and equipment.
- Document maintenance and improvement activities, and guide operators on the proper use of equipment.
- Support and implement production techniques, and lead and participate in problem-solving activities.
- Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Specialized training in mechanics, electromechanics, electronics, industrial maintenance, automation, programming, robotics, laser, or similar area.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be valued.
- Problem-solving skills, including 5W, Ishikawa, PDCA, and 8D.
- Solid knowledge of machine operation, and/or test equipment.
- Fluent in English, and availability to have training abroad.
