About the Role


The Senior Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing comprehensive CapEx project controls support under the responsibility of the Project Director. This includes developing and managing project schedules, budgets, risk management, and performance tracking.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with project managers and stakeholders for accuracy and up-to-dateness.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential delays and proposing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and allocation.
  • Track project expenditures and forecast future financial performance, analyzing cost variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, conducting regular risk assessments and updating risk management plans as needed.
  • Develop and implement performance measurement tools and techniques, preparing regular project status reports highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for project controls matters, facilitating communication between project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, leading and mentoring the project controls team.

Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related role.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, CCP) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Ability to develop and implement project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Expertise in change management and the ability to manage project scope changes effectively.
  • Strong ability to balance multiple sub-projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and communication.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Fluency in English is required.
