Job Summary:

In this full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant role, you will work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality patient care in our acute rehabilitation setting. Your primary responsibility will be to implement occupational therapy treatment programs as described by the OT's written plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT, modifying treatment only as allowed by the plan of care
  • Screen patients for possible OT services under the direction of an OT and monitor patient progress towards treatment goals
  • Communicate effectively with supervising OTs, patients/caregivers, and other professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
  • Manage time efficiently and document appropriately in medical records
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist program, along with a current license to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (or eligibility) and Basic Life Support certification.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on national averages and considering factors such as location, industry, experience, and qualifications.
