About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mergers and Acquisitions Intern to join our team at Critical Software Sa. As an M&A Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of mergers and acquisitions and support our M&A team in various stages of the deal process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in building and maintaining financial models to evaluate potential M&A opportunities and support the analysis of financial statements and valuation of target companies.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisition targets, and prepare research reports and presentations.
  • Due Diligence: Participate in the due diligence process by collecting and analyzing data on target companies and assist in evaluating business operations and financial performance.
  • Deal Support: Help prepare investment memos, coordinate with legal and financial advisors, and support negotiations, and assist in the preparation of transaction documents.
  • Integration Assistance: Work with cross-functional teams to support the integration of acquired companies, monitor post-acquisition performance, and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis, and proficiency in Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and ability to synthesize information and provide insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
