Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Cyber Security Software Engineering Team Lead to strengthen our Interiors Management Team in Porto.
About the Role
In this exciting role, you will coordinate a team of software engineers and actively participate in the development of high-quality solutions for our customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a team of highly qualified and motivated Software Engineers by mentoring and developing the team members, fostering autonomy and ownership.
- Assign tasks to team members according to their competences and capabilities.
- Conduct team meetings and team events, fostering open communication and a feedback culture.
- Help grow the team by supporting talent retention and recruitment activities, including job interviews.
- Take on an active role in the development of customer projects by bringing in technical knowledge and expertise.
- Ensure high quality and on-time project delivery.
- Support in the acquisition of new projects, e.g., in the clarification of technical feasibility and effort estimation.
- Collaborate with other Team Leaders to shape the success of the Company.
- Cooperate in building a complex software system that serves as a platform for the vehicle of the future.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development for embedded devices.
- Good programming skills in C/C++ for embedded microcontrollers.
- A profound understanding of Cyber Security concepts: hashing and encryption algorithms.
- The ability to work in international teams and with international customers.
- Good analytical capabilities and the ability to systematically deal with challenges.
- A strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Strong people skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
