Senior DevOps Engineer, Sovereign Cloud Innovator

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Technology & Engineering Products Group within the recently established Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with product and tool owners, program managers, developers, security experts, architects, and global security colleagues to define and implement the infrastructure toolset essential for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations. Tasks will encompass proof of concepts (POCs) and productive tool development and integration, providing hands-on experience in various DevOps tasks.
Qualifications:
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of technical professional experience. Proficiency in technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). Strong knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and their product offerings. Experience with Kubernetes. Experience containerizing VM-based workloads. Previous experience in an enterprise-level team. Experience with scripting languages. Openness to learning new methods and technologies. Experience with Project Management or collaboration tools (ex. Jira, Trello, Notion etc.). Experience in SAP Product Offerings is a plus, specifically in-depth experience with S/4HANA, S/4HANA PCE, and IBP. Strong decision-making skills and a can-do attitude. Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking. Persistent, self-starter, with the ability to thrive under pressure. Fluency in written and spoken English.

Our dynamic team is embarking on a mission to unify and enhance SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, revolutionizing the end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly formed Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit, a pivotal part of SAP Product Engineering, is entrusted with overseeing SAP's Sovereign Cloud portfolio.
