About the Role

The Localization QA Game Tester will be part of our Localization Quality Assurance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of localized game content. As the first point of contact for the project, you'll experience the game in its entirety – translated text, images, and user interface collectively. You'll collaborate with a multilingual project team to guarantee that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into the target language.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a global project team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors to maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Evaluate adherence to console manufacturer guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions to enhance the overall quality of the game.
  • Ensure accurate translation within context, maintaining consistency in terminology and imagery.
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found, and perform ad-hoc translation tasks as needed.
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Fluency in European Spanish or Latin American Spanish and English.
  • A strong understanding of the culture associated with the language you're working with.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other software applications.
  • Robust internet research skills to effectively verify information.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
  • Previous experience working with different software, applications, and websites.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with project teams.
  • Able to provide evidence of right to work in Portugal.
