About the Role

As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team, ensuring that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and accurately localized into the target language. You will collaborate with a global project team, identify and correct language errors, and ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a global project team.
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
  • Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
  • Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Our Localization QA team performs language checks on a range of yet-to-be-released games for various platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PS5, Wii, PS Vita, DS, Switch, VR, and mobile and tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you would be working on top gaming titles for some of the world's leading publishers.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
  • Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
  • Robust Internet research skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
  • Be able to provide evidence of Right to Work in Portugal.

Working Conditions:

  • On-Site in our Studio in Braga, Portugal.
  • 8:00 to 17:00, Mondays through Fridays.
