About The Lisboan International School
The Lisboan International School is a new and innovative school located in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal. We are part of Artemis Education, a growing group that aims to transform the education landscape by creating and operating cutting-edge schools.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Founding Head of Primary to join our founding leadership team. As a key educational leader, you will play a crucial role in establishing the traditions, values, and ethos of our Primary School, which will define the entire school community.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing a curriculum that integrates English national standards with a bespoke Dimensions approach, tailored to the context of Lisbon and our school's demographic.
- Fostering a love of learning and a sense of fun in every child, where innovative thinking is encouraged and students are empowered to explore their full potential in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment.
- Recruiting, leading, empowering, and retaining outstanding teachers who share our approach and are inspired by our commitment to academic excellence.
- Collaborating closely with the Founding Principal to drive the school's vision and mission forward.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong senior leadership experience, preferably in an international or British-curriculum school.
- A passion for the Early Years and Primary age range, with a commitment to innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
- The ability to inspire and motivate staff, students, and parents alike, while fostering a culture of kindness, curiosity, connectedness, resilience, and integrity.
- A proven track record of academic achievement, with a deep understanding of what it takes to drive student outcomes and success.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary package, including a minimum annual salary of €80,000, plus benefits such as relocation assistance, comprehensive health insurance, and a generous pension scheme.
