Job Summary
As a Groups and Events Manager at Hilton Worldwide, Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the Sales Coordinators and the Groups Coordinator to achieve pre-established goals. Your primary objective will be to maximize sales results for Hotel Groups and Events.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise the Sales Coordinators to deliver our standard services to customers and achieve financial goals.
Visit customers with the Sales Manager to guarantee the success of large groups and events.
Get involved in negotiations for groups and events to maximize results.
Coordinate the "function meeting" with vital information about upcoming groups and events.
Be responsible for the weekly communication meeting with the coordinators.
Know and promote hotel facilities and have knowledge of competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
Organize the hotel's visit and attend unexpected requests.
Be the contact between the client and the hotel staff when necessary.
Work in total cooperation with the Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure the entire sales process is completed and up to date.
Update daily the sales activities on the hotel's systems, ensuring that information is correct and consistent to be in the Groups Report.
Review rates, groups, deadlines, and waiting lists.
Review commission reports for groups, events, and Food and Beverage.
Participate in special activities, such as secretaries' cocktails, welcome dinner for groups, etc.
Ensure that all requests are answered within 24 hours.
Keep informed about clients and engage the relationship with them.
Maintain a positive work environment and good communication in the department and with other departments in the hotel to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and customer/guest satisfaction.
Comply with stipulated times and adapt to changes according to the hotel's operational needs.
Promote the hotel's activities and events.

Requirements
Complete Graduate Degree or MBA in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing.
Fluent in English; a second language is desirable.
Previous experience in sales and events/banquets, preferably in a hotel, with positions of leadership and supervision of teams.
Critical analysis skills to strategically evaluate sales opportunities.
Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to manage stress situations while promoting a constructive and positive attitude.
Knowledge of Product and Marketing, including the Politics, Operation, and Structure of Hotels, and supervision and organization of team members.
Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
