Squarespace seeks an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join its legal team, supporting the coordination of projects and processes for a fast-growing global SAAS organization.

As part of a dynamic team, you will contribute to public compliance and reporting processes, corporate law matters, and other governance-related tasks. We're looking for a Corporate Paralegal who can prioritize multiple tasks, build relationships, and manage sensitive information effectively.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our corporate Assistant General Counsel, based in our New York City office, supporting the following responsibilities:

  • Drafting, coordinating, and maintaining board and committee meeting materials.
  • Supporting board and committee meetings.
  • Providing governance support to our board of directors on an as-needed basis, including new director onboarding and annual D&O questionnaires.
  • Assisting with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, including proxy statements and periodic filings and earnings announcements.
  • Organizing our corporate legal compliance calendar and corporate minutes, documentation, and filing.
  • Supporting subsidiary governance and management.
  • Coordinating equity-related matters, including trading blackouts and notices, 10b5-1 plans, and trading pre-clearance processes.
  • Providing due diligence support, data room management, and preparing documents for the legal team and partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or medium-to-large company (ideally at a publicly traded company).
  • Excellent organizational and process-oriented skills.
  • A Notary Public certification or ability to become one.
  • Diligence with a high attention to detail and commitment to operational execution.
  • A deep interest in corporate law, governance, and business transactions.
  • Tech skills with proficiency in Asana.
  • Bachelor's degree.
