Darkroom is a digital growth agency revolutionizing the advertising landscape. As an Associate Director, Video & Motion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of creative storytelling. With a strong background in video editing, motion graphics, and type animation, you will lead a team of 4+ skilled Video Editors in delivering high-quality video and motion engagements to clients across major platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Amazon, YouTube, and more.

About Us

We're seeking a seasoned professional with at least 3-5 years of senior-level video editing experience, including 1 year of people management experience. You should have a proven track record of producing engaging short-form video content that drives results. Your expertise in editing, revising, and creating content for brands, as well as influencer marketing/UGC content, is essential. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma for storyboarding are must-haves.

The Role

As a core member of our Creative team, you will manage a team of 4+ Video Editors, providing support in advanced motion and editing techniques, creative and art direction, project management, feedback, and performance evaluation. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of 4+ Video Editors, ensuring they deliver high-quality work outputs that meet deadlines and convert customers.
  • Providing art direction on design fundamentals, including typography, color, layout, hierarchy, composition, and pacing.
  • Conducting weekly 1:1s with direct reports to assess client health, provide project feedback, and assist in managing client relationships.
  • Ensuring high-quality work output from your direct reports, helping them develop content with strong hooks and thumb-stopping edits.
  • Staying current on major social media platforms, ad trends, editing tools, and best practices.

At Darkroom, we offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
