Job Title: Sous-Chef

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Sous-Chef to join our culinary team at Wave Nest Surfcamp. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef in managing and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Manage kitchen inventory, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards
  • Monitor food storage practices, report issues for maintenance, and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly
  • Divide workload with the Head Chef to ensure a balanced environment in the kitchen
  • Collect feedback to improve the dining experience and report it to the Head Chef
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence or when needed
  • Participate in deep cleaning activities with the kitchen department

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences
