About the Role


At TUI, we are looking for a skilled Digital Infrastructure Specialist to join our Cloud Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global tourism leader and contribute to the delivery of high-quality digital services.


About the Team


The Engagement Domain is a global team within TUI technology responsible for delivering customer-facing websites. We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps, and Agile Delivery. Our team works closely together to provide services across multiple regions, including the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands.


About the Job


We are seeking a highly experienced Digital Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the quality of IT services meets the needs of our business. You will be responsible for ensuring platform/service stability and rapid incident response and continuous improvement in the overall operational maturity.


Your Responsibilities



  • Maintain constant uptime and scale seamlessly to allow services to flourish
  • Look for infrastructure improvements for our websites and applications
  • Provide 24/7 service and support for our infrastructure, software, and applications across the Product and engagement domain
  • Be responsible for incident and problem management, including being part of an on-call Rota for out-of-hours major incident management
  • Collaborate closely with other Site Reliability Engineers across TUI to coordinate cross-domain system improvements
  • Work with stakeholders to review and report on operational performance, SLAs, and KPIs

Your Requirements



  • Experience in handling production issues and taking part in on-call rota
  • Experience in using and working with AWS
  • Expertise in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in automating application deployment on AWS
  • Able to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
  • Strong communication skills with a proven track record of engaging senior technology stakeholders
  • Strong sense of ownership, wanting to understand how things work and resolve root causes
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience in problem, change, and incident management in an agile context
  • Familiarity with ITIL Application Support (specifically Service Life Cycle)
  • Understanding of / experience with DevSecOps ways of working and SRE practices
  • Passionate about continuous improvement
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good collaboration
  • Open-minded, inquisitive, life-long learner

  • Continuously monitor metrics and leverage customer feedback to drive continuous improvement of service practices

Salary


We offer a competitive salary of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.


Location


The role is based in Porto, Portugal, but we offer remote working options and flexibility to work from home or abroad.
