Intellectual Property Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our team at Infineon Technologies Business Solutions in Porto. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing legal support services and solutions for all areas of IP law.

• Perform assignments to obtain and defend Intellectual Property (IP) rights on entry level
• Execute existing procedures and solve upcoming issues in docketing IP related information and deadline management
• Provide legal support services and solutions for all areas of IP law
• Prepare and review legal documents, such as for invention disclosures, patent and trademark applications and related documents
• Organize patent committees regarding inventions disclosures and patent applications and help in execution of decisions by Infineon Patent Counsels
• Handle payments towards law firms and Patent and Trademark Offices
• Create reports and statistics for process monitoring and assist in general clerical tasks
• Interface with various Infineon central departments (e.g. accounting, tax, etc.) to process cross-functional workflows

• University degree or relevant (3+ years) vocational/professional training in the field of law, Paralegal studies or related field
• Previous professional experience in a relevant field
• Conceptual knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and practices in the legal field, most specifically IP
• Good ability to perform research and cross-functional tasks in addition to keeping track of deadlines
• Skilled use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to collaborate with others and work independently
• Willingness to learn continuously
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Fluency in English
