About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Team Leader to lead our Cardiometabolic team in Lisbon and South Portugal.

Job Description

The purpose of this role is to find a qualified individual to fill the position of a Sales Team Leader. This person will report directly to the business unit and will be responsible for leading a diverse sales team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a team, and the capability to build relationships with various stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse sales team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring effective communication and cooperation between sales, marketing, and medical teams.
  • Ensure performance expectations and development goals are clearly understood by all team members, regularly monitor results and goals achievement, participate in SR performance evaluation, Performance Management, and Career Planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for implementation of marketing strategy and achievement of business plans, communicate with other functions, and provide information about the situation in the managed territory.
  • Responsible for efficient allocation of financial and non-financial resources.
  • Represent and behave in alignment with our company values, policies, and standards, and ensure understanding of and compliance with Red Book and Good Promotional Practice within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Finance).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of leadership experience in obesity and/or diabetes.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record in marketing and promotion and/or people management.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time across the region.
  • Familiarity and/or experience in marketing processes.
  • Strong understanding of the interplay between sales, marketing, and medical functions.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry economics and drivers.

We offer a competitive salary of €80,000 - €120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
