Mission of the Role:
Our program manager for Ford Europe display programs will lead the cross functional team from business win to launch and reports directly to the Chief Program Engineer (Senior Program Manager)
Key Year One Deliverables:
Successful launchofEuropean display programs (cluster and centre stack displays) This includesthefollowing Key Performance Indicators: Leadthecross functional team Track projectthestatus closely and resolve or mitigate risks Work withthecross functional team to ensurethebusiness financials are exceeding baseline Conducttheprogram gate reviews on time Report out tothenext level manager weeklyKey Objectives of this Role:
Creating and executing project work plans (Configuration Management Plan) and revisions as appropriate to meet project phase deadlines and changing requirements Managing resources in conjunction with horizontal managers, manufacturing and others Helping resolve (through experience) day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope Effectively managing project risk through mitigation planning using appropriated tools Supporting Project team in their monitoring and reports of, timing, income, expense and resource management Ensuring less experience team members are utilizing Project Management and all internal methodology Preparing for Senior Project Leader and Project Board project reviews and quality assurance procedures Ensuring all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately Monitor project status (including supplier status) and review Current Model activities with appropriate stakeholder Chair Change Control Board Additional Functions: consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential Motivates the entire Project team to work together in the most efficient manner Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members and other project teams Mitigates team conflict and communication problems Encourages “straight talk” among team members The individual should be recognized as a Pride Builder and challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor. Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence. Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
