We are looking for a Release Lead, with 5+ years of experience for an exciting and challenging position

 

This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Lisbon.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software release management, configuration management, or a related role within a software development environment.
  • Proven experience managing release cycles in complex, cross-functional projects, ideally within an Agile or DevOps framework.
  • Experience with release automation tools (Azure DevOps) and change management systems.
  • Hands-on experience in version control systems (e.g., Git) and release branching strategies.
  • Experience with risk assessment and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow) to manage release-related risks and issues
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, particularly within Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Experience Developing a comprehensive release schedule that aligns with project goals and delivery timelines
  • Ability to Coordinate across development, QA, product management, and operations to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for each release.
  • Lead release planning meetings, capturing requirements, risks, and dependencies for each release cycle.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve the release management process, focusing on efficiency, consistency, and minimizing release-related issues.
  • Manage change control processes, ensuring that only approved changes are included in each release.
  • Oversee release readiness checks, confirming that all necessary steps have been completed before deployment.
  • Identify and assess risks related to release schedules, quality, and resources, working proactively to mitigate these risks.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential release issues and adapt the release process as needed.
  • Work with Information Security Lead to ensure compliance with the governance model, including adherence to the RFC process, application service transition, and security protocols.
  • Implement and maintain a risk log for ongoing risk assessment and issue tracking during each release cycle.
  • Oversee deployment activities, ensuring smooth and accurate execution of each release.
  • Monitor post-release stability, coordinating with operations teams to quickly resolve any issues.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from post-release reviews to drive improvements for future releases.
  • Evaluate and implement automation tools and best practices to streamline release processes and reduce manual intervention.
  • Track key release metrics (e.g., lead time, deployment frequency, failure rates) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with development and operations to incorporate DevOps practices into the release process
