Job Description

The Sales Trainer coordinates training activities and coaching activities that will help maximize our sales teamâs performance.

Sales Trainer responsibilities include mentoring new salespeople, designing individual and team training courses and preparing educational material. To be successful in this role, he/she should have a good understanding of sales techniques and the ability to motivate employees of varying seniority.

Ultimately, the Sales Coach will help our sales people develop their skills and achieve their quotas.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day delivery of daily transactional monitoring (remote, side-by-side, cross channel) to develop our advisors, identify areas of improvement and track progression through performance levels

  • Ensuring a healthy competitive working environment minimizing absenteeism & attrition

  • Develop plans to take advantage of new and existing areas of opportunity (e.g. sales, products, and services)

  • Develop and present performance improvement materials directed at specific products and/or specific sales or quality skills

  • Act as a trusted mentor to help outliers develop & maintain high sales performance targets

  • Document interaction with Sales and Service Representatives

  • Manage under-performance, taking into consideration development plans identified through transactional monitoring by supporting TL with necessary root cause and actions

  • Track sales effectiveness of coaching through sales performance improvement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Sales Experience: Candidates with a proven track record in sales, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry. Experience in cruise sales would be a significant advantage.

  • Coaching Experience: Prior experience as a sales trainer or mentor is beneficial. Candidate should have a history of successfully training and developing sales teams.

  • Understanding of Inbound and Outbound Sales: Candidate should have expertise in both inbound and outbound sales techniques.

  • Industry Knowledge: Candidate should have a good understanding of the cruise industry, including its dynamics, target audience, and competitive landscape, is essential.

  • Communication Skills: Candidates will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as will be responsible for training teams in Portuguese and English.

  • Analytical Skills: Candidate should be able to analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop effective strategies.

  • Must be eligible to work in Portugal and available to work at the office.
