At Zendesk we are looking for an HR Compliance Program Manager to join our expanding hub in Lisbon.Â
As an HR Compliance Program Manager you will be responsible for managing the global compliance oversight program for People and Places (P&P). In this role you will be working alongside with internal and external stakeholders to create and maintain compliance schedules, documentation, and roadmaps to effectively operationalize HR compliance activities. You will also project manage any new or updated compliance activities, recurring audits and assessments that require cross-functional collaboration.

As a HR Compliance Program Manager you will:
Create, maintain, and improve the HR Compliance Governance Process, with a strong analytical focus on controls, testing, and ongoing monitoring to implement effective compliance activities.
Be first and primary point of contact for compliance assessments, audits and reporting requests, both internal and external
Build a framework including appropriate review and approval steps, to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing across various federal, state/provincial, and local government agencies and guide P&P sub-functions through application.
Maintain inventory of HR compliance requirements and RACI model for each requirement; develops roadmap and timelines for compliance activities, including but not limited to audits, reporting and assessments.
Collaborate across multiple teams to document and operationalize new compliance requirements and update them accordingly.
Act as primary project manager for compliance activities such as audits, reporting, assessments and regulatory requirements
Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and/or enhance existing compliance assessments, templates, and reporting; documents activities and provides summaries and relevant recommendations for senior management and other stakeholders, to include regulatory agencies and the Board of Directors, as needed.
Coordinate with legal counsel (internal and external) and various internal teams to identify, monitor, analyze, and communicate regulatory changes including templates for policies and standard operating procedures.
In partnership with Zendesk legal team, you will coordinate and drive compliance assessments of regulations and process breakdowns against organizational requirements
In order to succeed in this role, you should have:
Bachelorâs degree in Business, HR or in related field OR equivalent experienceÂ
Previous Experience in human resources, compliance administration, and/or legal including program management duties.
Knowledge and experience working in compliance roles focused in the HR field
Successful experience managing compliance related projects or programs that require input and action from cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and finalizing process documents, communications, and project charters.
Ability to work cross-functionally, individually, or to lead work among a team.
Proven experience working with confidentiality matters and demonstrating a high level of integrity.Â
Strong decision making skills and ability to influence others
Strong creativity and collaborative skills, and experience working in a matrixed and agile environment and on cross-functional teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, results-oriented, and self-driven.
