We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams in remote/hybrid setups across Portugal (Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra).Work Setup: Hybrid (One day per week on-site)Must Have5+ years of backend experience with Java and Spring BootStrong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systemsSystem design rigor at Amazon/Google levelStrong technical leadership skills, able to guide teams and make architecture decisionsExperience managing engineering teams, including performance managementResponsibilitiesDefine technical direction and architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems.Validate designs, technical decisions, and manage trade-offs to ensure technology choices support business and strategic objectives.Lead, mentor, and develop senior engineering teams, driving performance, engagement, and talent retention.Ensure successful delivery through effective planning, dependency, and risk management.Act as a key interface between engineering and business leadership, communicating complex technical concepts and contributing to organizational strategy with data-driven insights.Interested candidates: Send your CV in English with your rate to j.sierra@asenium.com or apply directly.
