Goparity is an impact investment platform whose main mission is to democratize access to sustainable finance. The platform connects companies and individuals who want to invest ethically, with an interest, in projects with a positive impact on people and the planet. We are growing, both in terms of size and impact generated. We were born in Portugal in 2017 but have since then financed projects and grown a large community of investors all around the world. In January 2024, we were granted a licence to operate without limitations in all of Europe, we are looking for smart, creative people who want to take part in our mission to democratize the financial sector, for the good of people and our planet.

Role Description

We are looking for a communication designer who is passionate about social media and is always up to date with the most recent trends, influencers, and social activists. We are looking for someone who holds a degree in design and is ready to embrace our mission. We expect you to be a great team player, eager to work in a collaborative environment, and to constantly learn, while taking full responsibility for the tasks you develop.

Qualifications

You will integrate our Marketing and Communication Department (Marcomms), that develops and implements both B2B and B2C marketing strategies catered to investors (individual and organizational) and promoters (private companies or other organizations seeking financing). From online visuals to our social media, website, newsletters, brochures and events, you will have the opportunity to tap into diverse design materials. You are passionate about sustainable development (and you are interested or want to learn more about ethical finance)

Tasks include:

  • Helping create a consistent brand through design. A brand that is relevant, trustworthy, transparent, and empathic. We are on a mission to democratize access to sustainable finance. You should find the right content pillars, aligned with our brand identity and values (which you can and should help shape), that combine the right tone of voice and relevant content for our audience.
  • Social media management: we must communicate our mission, projects, and services clearly and engagingly through Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. We are not as boring as a Bank, but we are dealing with people's money, so all our content must be sharp. You will be responsible for creating content for all social media platforms (as of now, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram), creating a narrative that both educates about finance and sustainability, while keeping proximity with our audience. We are a human-to-human brand.
  • Contributing to our design processes and improving scalability
  • Delivering creative static and motion design assets for performance marketing channels (Facebook and Instagram adds, partnerships, app store optimisation, etc.)
  • Develop beautiful presentations to support our meetings with stakeholders (clients, partners), and pitches for major events, mostly in Portugal and Spain.
  • Communicate Goparity in a (visually) creative way: we have a lot to say about the banking industry. We expect you to take ownership of our content strategy. Regularly publish content that ensures we stay top of mind with our target audience, increases our engagement, builds brand awareness, and drives traffic to our website and app.

  • You take initiative and you are hands-on.
  • You are organized and attentive to details.
  • You have a cultural fit with Goparity's mission and are passionate about sustainable development (social and environmental issues).
  • You are creative: we expect you to come up with new and creative ways to communicate Goparity – you will be communicating to environmental activists, finance experts, business owners, 40-year-olds saving for retirement...

Bonus points for

  • You know your way around financial concepts.
  • You have experience in the start-up world and/or in banking and/or finance sectors.
  • Experience in a marketing role, preferably with social media management (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads)
  • Video editing
  • Proven experience in creating content for paid advertising (Facebook, Instagram, Google ads, or others)
  • Proven experience in brand marketing.
  • A portfolio that shows the above.

Workplace

We are remote flexible (even before covid) – maximum liberty comes with full responsibility. We are based in Wonder Work (Bairro Azul) in Lisbon and have a desk in Barcelona, but you can work from home. We have one mandatory in-person meeting, happening every quarter in Lisbon.
