With a team of over 120 people, Wise Pirates ambitions to evolve to an AI-first marketing ecosystem where people and AI work as partners.Working on a hybrid model from Greater Oporto area, the aim is to use the best of the existing technologies and build customized solutions on the top, with a worldwide ambition.Role DescriptionAs a Web Developer, you will develop websites and e-commerce stores using Shopify and WordPress/Woocommerce technologies, in all phases of the product life cycle, as part of a high-performing and multi-disciplinary team. You will:Implement a design made by UX/UI designer on Adobe XDDevelop Front-End components in order to improve responsiveness and overall performanceManage testing and debugging and participate in quality assuranceParticipate in an agile project management system based on multiple sprintsPropose ideas and lead initiatives to solve client’s needsRespond to a project manager and build a trusting relationship by keeping them informed on updates, blockers, and propose real doable deadlines Help proactively solve problems, and give improvement suggestions within the Front-End teamParticipate in gathering meetings with teams of other developers, designers, e-commerce managers and contribute to the whole product building processProvide websites support by working on tweaks & fixes - based on monthly hour packs Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environmentBeing proactive in searching new ways of doing tasks and finding solutions for task deliveringMust-Have:Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other related areaProficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHPStrong proficiency in WordPress/WooCommerce and/or ShopifyPrevious experience with other web sites and e-commerce projectsNice to Have:Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks (React/AngularJS/VueJS), PHP Frameworks (Laravel/CodeIgniter), DataBase (MySQL, MariaDB), API’s integration, and deep knowledge in WebflowExperience using Click Up as a project management toolReady to Sail with us? 🏴‍☠️If you identify with this description and are ready to embrace the challenge of shaping the future of web development, send your application with your CV and a brief cover letter.We can’t wait to meet you
