We work as one international team, sharing knowledge and collaborating across countries, businesses, and products.We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our international legal team and provide legal support for the JoomPulse business.ResponsibilitiesImplement the company’s privacy risk strategyProcure inputs from stakeholders on business activitiesAssess risks and their conformity to approved risk appetitesDocument decisions and their periodic reviewServe as the primary point of contact for all legal matters related to JoomPulse, handling all relevant legal inquiries and issuesLead the AI transformation of the teamRequirements3+ years of relevant experience in a top law firm and/or a b2c product firm, ideally with IT at its coreCore competences in Privacy (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT are always a plus) and Brazilian contract lawCuriosity and drive for AI applicationProject management skills, ability to dissect complex tasks into steps, determine stakeholders, and necessary inputs and outputsDrafting skills (contracts, RoPA, DPIA, etc.)Fluent (C1+) English and PortugueseAbility to find the right tools and people to accomplish tasksPreferredExperience with e-commerce/marketplacesWe offerCompensation package: base salary and performance-based bonusesOffice-first: flexible hours with a possibility to work remotely 52 days per year, and 22 days of paid annual leaveCare & Wellbeing: health insurance (including dental care) for employees and their children, daily meal allowance, and 100% paid sick leaveTeam & Growth: collaboration with colleagues across Portugal, Brazil, Latvia, and China, with opportunities for promotions, professional training, and English coursesCommunity & Engagement: annual team building activities, knowledge-sharing workshops, and a strong sense of teamworkBefore applying for the above position, please review our Candidate Privacy Notice here: https://legal.joom.com/recruitment/Joom_Unipessoal_LDA_Job_Applicant_Privacy_Notice.pdf By responding to the vacancy, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy notice.
