The Professional Services Program Manager works with clients and partners remotely and/or onsite on engagements of low to medium complexity projects (including pre-defined Scope of Work as well as part-time resident contracts).

Program managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee. They thrive when planning projects and working with project teams. This is a non-technical role requiring experience managing projects from scoping to delivery.

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring from start to finish - the delivery of low to medium size projects on time and according to the agreed scope of work.

The Program Manager's is expected to manage a virtual team comprising; Customer Contacts, Fortinet Sales, Professional Services and Technical Support to ensure a technically sound, financially profitable, supportable implementation.

The position requires an individual with exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication skills who follows a structured approach for implementing IT security solutions.

The Program Manager should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders. Understands service description/ scope of work signed with customer and WBS and work with customer to agree project schedules.
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities ensures resource availability and allocation in alignment with project plans.
  • Works closely with all customerfacing Fortinet functions, including sales, operations, order management, support to coordinate activities.
  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered ontime, within scope and within budget
  • Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Reports and escalates to management as needed
  • Manages escalations with all levels internally and externally to achieve success.
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
  • Effectively applies Fortinet's methodology and enforces project standards
  • Minimizes Fortinet's exposure and risk on projects
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

Job Requirements:

  • Around 5 years' experience in a Project or Program Management role.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding of security and internetworking skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with medium to large size customers.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a teamoriented, collaborative environment.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong commitment and selfdriven individual.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive workrelated experience.
  • PMP and/or PRINCE II certification
