As a Marketing Manager you will report to Iberia Business Director for Architectural Coatings (AC) and Protective Marine Coatings (PMC)

Key Responsibilities

  • Become effective Business Partner of sales teams, interacting with them and influencing sales behaviour & performance, with sound knowledge of our markets and customers.
  • Define, implement, and animate brands strategy, which should be ambitious, highly operational, business development and profit oriented.
  • From market analysis and current formula portfolio, support the EMEA product category strategy, proposing and driving innovation projects that need to be developed by the R&D teams while ensuring a fast roll out of the innovations.
  • Propose the local product category strategy to meet the EMEA and country targets (%NPS, sales, profitability, complexity reduction ).
  • Strategic marketing planning for Portugal integrated into PPG planning sequence.
  • Marketing budget management and follow up of core KPI's around brand & category performance.
  • Brand Planning & Strategy_:
  • Market analysis
  • Definition of brand positioning
  • Selection of relevant customer segmentation & target
  • Marketingmix definition (product/price/promotion/channel)
  • Customer Experience & Value Proposition_:
  • Specification of brand product range to be developed by product marketing
  • Definition of precise value proposition per customer segment, including services
  • Brand Activation & Media Planning_:
  • Implementation of communication plan per brand to drive customer loyalty.
  • Customer & Channel Marketing_:
  • Definition & implementation of growth initiatives with a clear marketing roadmap & sales support activity.
  • Reinforced relationship buildup with field sales teams.
  • Development of Digital activation roadmap.
  • Product Management_
- _Contribute to the segment innovation process in order to propose and select the_ innovation projects to implement at EMEA level to bring extra growth and profitability.

  • Monitor and consolidate market trends of the product categories, customer insights, upcoming legislation changes, technological progress and competition.
  • Reduce country formula portfolio complexity by pushing new or existing formula sharing, substitution and stop of existing formulas while looking to increase sales and profitability.
  • Accountable for brands results (P&L).
  • Strategic Marketing_ (market assessment, industry attractiveness, market share, benchmarking, value chain )
  • Market analysis
_ (focus groups, needs-based market segmentation, trade-off analysis, tools related to measuring market demand and understanding customer needs, competitive position)

  • Marketing-Mix strategies_ (target marketing, product positioning, customer satisfaction, price elasticity, sales promotions, alternative channels)
  • Profitability from a marketing perspective:_
    (marketbased pricing, cost dynamics, customer value, breakeven analysis, service quality, market orientation, profit impact of customer satisfaction and retention)
  • Customer focus_
    (always try to understand them, identify service problems, lead customer satisfaction actions)
  • Stimulate innovation and be change ambassador_
    (curiosity, challenge status quo, drive new ideas, promote testing of new concepts, be able to transform good ideas into concrete actions)
  • Orientation to actions and results achievement_ (share results to engage teams into a call to action, measure progress)
  • Inspire the organization_ (able to give a sense to the work done, inspire to act towards shared goals) driving the engagement of the marketing team towards the accomplishment of goals set.
  • Ability to perform in complex environments_

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing or similar
  • 3 years + experience in similar position
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools
  • Fluent in English
  • Verbal Spanish and French knowledge
  • Analytic and diagnostic skills
  • Team player
