What we are looking for:

We are scouting for a full-time 2D Game Artist for our creative services department. This role focuses on in-game assets creation and animation.

Work will be involved on a vast array of titles ranging from concept art, illustration, game ready assets, and animation of various elements to be used in-game.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create art in a wide range of styles from realistic to cartoon, from starting concept to implementation in the game.
  • Conceptualize, design, and create stunning (2D) ingame visual effects (modeling, texturing, animating, lighting, shaders, etc.) by using available tools in a realtime engine.
  • Create high quality texture content for the game world (textures and other related maps or images for mapping on 3D objects).
  • Create character concepts, environments, and backgrounds.
  • Create game interface and menus.
  • Active involvement in the game creation process by working closely with the Game and Art Team.
  • Effectively contributing to the art pipeline while understanding target platform constraints.
  • Meeting project deadlines/milestones.

Requirements:

Main Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio of UI visuals with a lean toward the casual, futuristic, and cartoon aesthetic.
  • Thorough understanding of digital/traditional and Graphic art techniques.
  • Good knowledge of 2D editing tools, Photoshop and Illustrator, to be able to deliver any kind of good quality 2D assets.
  • Good skills using Photoshop (or similar tool) to create textures for 3D assets.
  • A solid background in academic drawing, sketching, and/or illustration is a major asset.
  • Versatile and prepared to tackle many different kinds of tasks, ranging from creative challenges to mass production.
  • Selfmotivation, excellent communication and organization skills, team spirit, proactivity.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
  • Ability to multitask and to adapt easily to change.

Nice To Have:

  • Animation skills (2D mostly, 3D a real plus).
  • Working Unity experience.
  • Texture painting skills.
  • Experience with 3D tools, texturing in both Low and High poly. Knowledge of animation, Illustrator, Flash, Unity engine, particle effects creation programs (e.g., combustion, particle illusion, fork) and motion graphics programs (e.g., After Effects).
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Passion for games and some knowledge of the gaming industry.
