The Regulation Global Unit


is an area of
EDP SA and intends to recruit a strategic and global role on
EDP Group regulatory issues, with high proximity to the decision center (Corporate Director and CAE), responsible for managing economic and financial impacts and guiding the planning, prioritization and development of appropriate and articulated action strategies.

Responsible for managing the regulatory agenda in Portugal, with regard to the regulatory framework, with an integrated perspective of the various Business Units and geographies, on strategic issues and coordinating interactions with ERSE.


Main responsibilities:

  • Positioning the
Regulation Global Unit

as a strategic and corporate department, liaising with the contributions of the other MRD teams, Business Units and Geographies, providing visibility to the members of the EBD, GSB and other stakeholders of regulatory issues of the
EDP Group;

  • Managing the interface with the different geographies and business platforms regarding regulatory issues, in order to develop an integrated perspective and leverage synergies from the centralized knowledge of economic and financial regulation models;
  • Coordinate studies of a strategic nature, internally or with the support of external entities, for
    EDP's regulatory positioning;
  • Propose lines of action for the evolution of the sector, including legislation and published studies, in order to anticipate potential consequences for the
    EDP Group;
  • Develop proposals on the regulatory framework to be presented to external entities, in particular ERSE;
  • Lead the preparation of the Regulatory Report, systematizing the contributions of the various geographical areas and Business Units;
  • Manage external communication actions, in direct articulation with the Directorate of Communication, in the scope of the regulatory strategy defined;
  • Lead and stimulate the Regulation Committee (integrating contributions from the remaining members of DRM, DEC and the various Business Units and Geographies).

Looking for people with the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or MBA degree in Management, Economics or Electrical Engineering;
  • Professional experience between 7 to 10 years in similar functions (preferably in the sector);
  • Knowledge of management;
  • Computer skills: office package;
  • Languages: English (very good) and Spanish (sufficient);
  • Collaborative and solution oriented.
