BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as Customer Service Supervisor at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to company and business policies and administer open sales orders and ensure appropriate order flow.
  • Manage communication with customer and sales department to ensure process customer orders and shipment of products.
  • Monitor and evaluate Customer schedules and ensure accurate billing of bookings.
  • Ensure on everyday basis correct management of shipment and respond to inquiries for status order and resolve customer issues and prepare efficient schedule for projects.
  • Monitor the process of all returns according to financial requirements.
  • Determine priorities to match available supply to demands to achieve established customer contract obligations and operational business goals.
  • Develops technical improvements in operations and work processes.
  • Monitor customer performance and evaluate orders and provide required approvals.
  • Perform customer and production waterfall analysis to ensure good internal and external information flow to take decision aligned with defined strategy.
  • Provides training on new systems and standards.
  • Establishes policies, standards, procedures and systems for material planning and control of all programs.
  • Provide advice and support to business leaders and crossfunctional organizers regarding shop planning/scheduling/loading strategy and tactical activities.
  • Ensure optimal practices for all processes
  • Evaluate all weekly metrics, identify, and mitigate risks, as well analyze all continuous improvement project
  • Prepares inventory management goals and statistics, material input budget.
  • Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene and environmental prevention standards
  • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
  • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
  • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
  • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in related discipline or equivalent
  • 5 plus years experience in SCM / logistics related field.
  • Ability to supervise a group of mid or senior level SCM and logistics functions.
  • Recognized functional knowledge with the ability to train others.
  • Functional/Technical Skills : high understanding of SAP
  • Must be able to work alone with minimum guidance, but also be able to operate effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be selfmotivated/directed.
  • Requires mínimal management input to achieve objectives.
