A Snapshot of Your Day


As a member of SE Customs team in Portugal you willactively contribute to the fulfilling of the customs complianceresponsibilities related with customs data management, preferential andnon-preferential origin determination, Intrastat and customs documentsvalidation for our European footprint.

Therefore, you arepart of a team within our European network where you can bring in our gainedexpertise and communication skills on daily basis.


How you and your Team will make an Impact

  • Review and upload checked Export Documentation, likeCertificates of Origin or supplier declarations into our SAP Systems
  • Order processing in our transport system Kanlog forcertain projects
  • Determination of preferential and nonpreferentialorigin based on available information. Check of assigned preferential andnonpreferential for the maintained materials in our SAP Systems
  • Request and maintenance of received export data forms,certificates of origin and supplier declarations to assist procurementactivities. Check of received data according to Siemens Energy standards andprocedures. Denial and request of corrected data is also part of this role asthe maintenance of checked data in our SAP Systems
  • Solicitation, check maintenance of supplierdeclarations from our suppliers. Archiving according to Siemens Energystandards and procedures is also part of your role.
  • Error processing in our systems (MIC and SAP), editingthe file transfers and also creation of manual templates if needed.
  • Correctness review of Customs/VAT invoices fromfreight forwarders as per Siemens Energy standards and procedures.

What You Bring

  • Background and practice in the field of customs / freight forwarding or complete university degree (e.g. business administration, law, international trade
  • At least 2 years of experience in customs processes (export, import, export, Intrastat, customs tariff and preferential/nonpreferential origin determination)
  • International experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a definite plus
  • Experience in customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC
  • Fluency English, German skills would be a plus
  • Responsibility, organization, communication and assertiveness skills are valued attributes.


In this role you will follow the internalrules and regulations as established by your organization and the relevantlegal entity you work for.

While performing your tasks, you alwayshave an open mind to identify and report room for improvement and processflaws.

You actively participate in team growthefforts.

Your direct reporting line will be locatedin Portugal, too.
