As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, Siemens Energy is in the process of standardizing and harmonizing its HR systems and services.

We are looking for a highly qualified Workday Product Owner to play a pivotal role in our Workday deployment initiatives, working with colleagues across the globe, several partners and internal and external partners.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead the Workday Product Roadmap, including the deployment of the Workday HCM and Workday Prism for key countries such as Germany and US.
  • Stay uptodate on new capabilities of Employee Engagement/Experience technologies and new functionality/features/capabilities of Workday.
  • Have an in depth understanding of HR processes and how they translate into Workday Business Processes, including understanding of E2E Workday integration points.
  • Establish a Workday governance strategy involving HR and IT leadership and business partners to drive governance for the platform and integrated ecosystem.
  • Align with global process owners and lead consensus to arrive at decisions related to future functionality and creative solutioning.
  • Work with internal and thirdparty teams, including Application Management Services (AMS) teams, to influence the Workday product roadmap, understanding and articulating business needs to drive and evaluate/set roadmap priorities.
  • Work closely with key partners and Workday AMS teams to support prioritization of feature requests and initiatives in Workday, integrated systems and reporting tools and provide expertise and/or oversight for implementation of Workday roadmap items or business priorities.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and include industry standard processes to architect technology solutions needed to drive alignment of business needs and lead discussions to arrive at mutually agreeable solution options and integrations.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate technical testing of new Workday versions and implementation cycles.
  • Work with technical resources to maintain platform health and look for continuous improvement options, as well as assist with solving/resolution of raised product issues.
  • Ensure system and process compliance in alignment with Risk and Internal Controls and IT general controls, as well as security.
  • Lead the relationship with both the software vendor and any professional services engagements.
  • Lead platform governance across teams that use Workday for their business processes, reinforcing the governance structures, including guiding principles alignment, impact considerations, working towards collaborative and consistent recommendations and decisions.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in leading Workday HRMS strategy and Workday implementation projects
  • Good understanding of HRIS space and dependencies within the HR systems & processes environment
  • Experience with solution design, system configuration and implementation of changes within Workday.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions within Workday and working multifunctionally across global teams.
  • Experience with establishing relationships across IT and business teams and defining platform governance.
  • Experience working with Workday account team, thirdparty implementation, and system integration vendors.
  • Collaborative style, happy to interact with many partners e.g., in HR Centres of Competence and HR in the Regions, IT department, Finance department, management,
  • Thrives in a global environment, working flexibly where required
  • Prepared to work in English language most of the time

In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function - HR Systems and Services, a truly global and diverse team of specialists with an open attitude, responsible for guaranteeing operational performance and budget adherence of HR Systems & Services, ensuring, and maintaining fit-for-purpose HR systems and processes, safeguarding end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation.
