Manager, Product Management-1

Overview

The Global Portfolio Optimization team seeks to accelerate payment card activation & usage overall and specifically digital commerce. We collaborate with product, marketing and consulting colleagues with target customers in key countries. Consumers are making digital purchases across a wide range of channels/devices every day. When you join us, you will be a key contributor in driving this evolution.

The Manager will have responsibility for leading Portfolio Optimization spend activation and usage initiatives for a multi-billion portfolio segment. By using analytical thinking, strategic storytelling and cross-functional leadership skills, the Manager will drive immediate and longer-term impact.

The role of the Manager is to:

  • Analyze & identify impactful & scalable opportunities to optimize Mastercard's digital business growth with key issuers & merchants.
  • Develop & deploy B2B content customer sales materials via innovative operating model including authoring multichannel thought leadership.
  • Lead Optimization community workstreams such as communications or training.
  • Drive initiatives collaborating with market teams and crossfunctional partners across Consumer Solutions, Data & Services, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness and recommend best practices for optimization.
  • Monitor results, prepare executive reports, & conduct business reviews with internal & external clients. Develop case studies & share best practices globally.

Essential knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with proven track record in product management, product marketing or consulting leading initiatives from strategic planning and B2B content development through tactical execution.
  • Solid quantitative analysis skills and financial acumen with track record of translating data into compelling insights, market assessments, and funded business cases.
  • Extensive project management & problemsolving skills with a record of success managing multiple projects with external & internal clients simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of digital commerce: consumer needs/behaviors, industry trends like AI, digital marketing trends, B2B/B2B2C content delivery
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Pivot table/macros, Powerpoint, Thinkcell

Skills/capabilities:

  • Selfstarter and team player.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Forward thinking, creative problem solver with business acumen to drive positive results and innovative product conceptualization.
  • Global mindset with international experience and/or multilingual capabilities a strong plus.
