Are you ready to bey a key driver in coordinating and leading product development projects within the area of plant solutions that enable grid stability? As a part of Power SI Project Management you will be a part of a team of highly skilled project managers and trainees located in both Denmark, Portugal and Chennai.

In our department we are accountable for establishing, operating and implementing the project portfolio of power plant solutions to secure stable grid connections around the world.

We develop and implement our projects according to our execution model in an efficient way from scoping to market delivery.

Responsibilities


You will develop and coordinate projects out of our office in Porto, while the projects have a global reach with teams and stakeholders worldwide.

You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle and the commercial output of our projects delivered through our different execution models:

  • Scope, initiate and execute Power SI projects
  • Be accountable for your own budgets, timelines and project plans
  • Accountable for planning, including technical reviews, project management reviews and gate recommendations according to the operating model of Vestas
  • Monitor progress and escalate risks and deviations timely to find mitigations to issues
  • Communicate clearly to the project stakeholder map
  • Work closely with line management to secure right staffing and timely initiation of the projects and set the teams up for growth
  • Responsibility for own process relevant initiatives

Qualifications

  • You have a technical or other relevant degree (B.Sc or M.Sc). An engineering degree within electrical, IT or similar would be an added value, but not a requirement
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience. Prior project management roles is not a prerequisite, but experience with elements of project management disciplines is an added value
  • You respect your colleagues, but are not afraid of improving them no matter corporate levels
  • You are motivated by understanding and working in different execution governance and budget models
  • You are fluent in English, both written and verbally

Competencies

  • You have experience with elements from the project management toolbox
  • You have the ability to inspire and people listen to you when you present your points with clarity and valid arguments
  • You feel motivated by leading projects across different cultures and you are present even though some will be managed remotely
  • You embrace changes and you feel ready to lead your surroundings through the changing environment
  • You have significant IT skills and are able to quickly understand and read systems and dependencies between systems
