Job Description

Zendesk's team is on a mission to enhance Customer Experience. They provide products that assist over 125,000 global brands in keeping their customers satisfied on a daily basis.

The team's goal is to support Customer Experience teams in optimizing their performance by efficiently handling repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on more complex challenges. They leverage cutting-edge Machine Learning and AI technologies to achieve this mission, showing a strong commitment to empowering their customers.

As a Senior ML Engineer, you will collaborate with ML Scientists and other engineers to develop and deliver top-notch ML and AI products to our customers, at an impressive scale.

  • Write clean and maintainable code to meet delivery commitments
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and applied scientists to address challenging problems using ML technology
  • Participate actively in technical design discussions and standard methodology decisions
  • Investigate and resolve production issues
  • Lead efforts to enhance the scalability and reliability of our platforms
What you bring to the role
  • Proficiency in Python and ideally experience in Scala and Java
  • A strong interest in data engineering, particularly in large-scale data processing
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a self-managed and dedicated approach
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in managing changing priorities
  • Experience in developing scalable and robust software applications
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow
What our tech stack looks like
  • Our codebase includes Python, Ruby, Scala, and Java
  • We host our servers on AWS
  • Machine learning models are built using PyTorch and Tensorflow
  • ML pipelines utilize AWS Batch and EMR
  • Data is stored in S3, RDS MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, and Aurora
  • Services are deployed on Kubernetes with Docker and utilize Kafka for stream-processing
