BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Quality Management System Coordinator at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and Implement the Plant Quality Management System in accordance with the business plan, its strategies, in accordance with legal requirements and the respective adherence to the Organization's Policy and compliance with the corporation's Internal Control requirements
  • Local Security Officer responsible to develop and Implement together with other stakeholders, TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) Management System, in accordance with the business plan, its strategies, in accordance with legal requirements and the respective adherence to the Organization's Policy and compliance with the corporation's Internal Control requirements
  • Define the internal audit management system, assessing the robustness of the system and promoting the continuous improvement of the respective direct and indirect processes (System, Process and Product)
  • Responsible to plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation. Generate audit reports to meet requirements of regulatory agencies and document objective evidence of audits performed
  • Certification bodies & Customer systems complaints management
  • Conduct followup and compliance audits to ensure process improvement and corrective / preventive action implementation and effectiveness
  • Prepares accurate and timely reports of metrics reflecting performance of the quality management system.
  • Define the customer satisfaction assessment management system and respective metrics
  • Provide training in internal audits
  • Comply with safety, quality, productivity, hygiene, and environmental prevention standards and policy rule
  • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which is hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service.
Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or in a related technical area,
  • 4 or more years of experience in construction supervision
  • IATF 16949 Certified Auditor and/or VDA 6.3 Certified Auditor (required)
  • Solid Knowledge of automotive industry quality standards and guidelines
  • Solid knowledge of customer standards and requirements
  • Solid Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 9001 and VDA
  • Solid knowledge of related government laws and regulations
  • Solid Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, Pareto, Ishikawa, 5 Why's)
  • Solid organizational and planning skills.
