The Procurement Specialist is responsible for Procurement Operations activities.

The Procurement Specialist will ensure the timely and accurate review and processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier onboarding and maintenance requests.

It is the PagerDuty P2P Team's Mission to procure the right products and services at the right time for a fair price which we pay correctly and on time to enable the business to reach its goal to revolutionize operations and build customer trust by anticipating the unexpected in an unpredictable world.

The Procurement Specialist role is that of an individual contributor on the P2P Team and reports to the Head of Procurement.


How You Impact Our Vision

  • Utilize the Coupa Business Spend Management Platform
  • Successfully review and process purchase requisitions and supplier onboarding and maintenance requests
  • Initiate reviews by InfoSec, Legal, etc. when certain conditions are met
  • Coordinate with Legal, Business Stakeholders and suppliers on supplier Agreements (DPA, MSA and SOW) to reduce risk and liability for new and recurring supplier relationships
  • Negotiation of a defined list of commercial contract terms like payment terms
  • Align with Procurement KPIs to provide business value
  • Improve Procurement Operations by identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Track Cost Savings and Avoidance
  • Assist with supplier quarterly business reviews and various Procurement related projects

About You

  • Handson experience processing supplier contracts and purchase requisitions through the endtoend procurement process
  • Understanding of commercial contract terms
  • Thrives in a fast paced and ever changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and supplier deals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate issues at the right time
  • Strong team orientation and organizational acumen
  • Communication, presentation, customer service, active listening and writing skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of previous work experience in Finance, Supply Chain or Procurement organizations
  • 2+ years experience with the Procure to Pay process and systems like Coupa and NetSuite
  • 2+ years experience with supplier contracts and contract management
  • Previous demonstrated experience working successfully crossfunctionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software proficiencies: Coupa, G-Suite, Tableau
  • Experience with negotiation of commercial contract terms
  • Experience with tracking and reporting of predefined KPIs
  • Prior SaaS industry experience is nice to have
