Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and Design:
  • Develop and prepare detailed designs and plans for civil engineering works.
  • Perform technical analyses and calculations to ensure project feasibility and efficiency.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed models and specifications.
  • Project Supervision and Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure that projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Quality Control and Safety:
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure excellence in the work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues or deviations.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are aligned.
  • Prepare technical reports and necessary documentation, including progress reports, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Present status updates and results to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration with the Order of Engineers (OE) or eligibility to register.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering programs (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Deep knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to perform complex technical calculations and analyses.
  • Personal Skills:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Project management skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Certifications:
  • Certification in occupational safety and health is an advantage.
