We're looking for a Kafka SRE for a team of our client ( R&S Process).

Tasks and Responsibilities Description:

In this role you'll get...

Be responsible for designing, building and maintaining our central messaging platform based on Kafka (MSK), using site reliability engineering best practices.
Ensuring our central kafka architecture is ready to scale ( Costs, performance, etc.)
Developing best practices, tools, and supporting libraries to make Kafka easier to use and more reliable for product teams
Drive Kafka to the next level in terms of SLA, help troubleshoot Kafka issues and work towards the objective of Avoiding 24x7 support/oncall.

Profile Description:

Background in software engineering
Experience operating Kafka at scale
Knowledge in Site Reliability Engineering
Experience with cloud computing (AWS preferable)
Cloud networking and security knowledge
Interest in distributed systems and eventdriven architecture
An inquisitive and curious approach, with confidence to tackle challenging problems
Problem solver / structured thinker
Always happy to help and a natural sharer of knowledge
