Position Description:


We are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Project Leader, to be allocated on a transversal squad/dev team, fully dedicated to maintain and support our transversal framework on Data factory.


Data Factory is a key program that will deliver a Data Aggregation and Curation platform, based on a relational database and an ETL for modern and efficient data loading, transformation and control.

This aim is to create a unique centralized repository with a copy of operational and referential data, where all data are consolidated and harmonized, and where data quality is qualified as fit for purpose.


This position will work in an environment where the scopes of the technologies used in the projects will tend to grow.


Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage risks and quality
  • Perform peerreviews according with analysis made with Product Owner/Business Analyst
  • Collect, analyze, prioritize all the requests regarding the modules and projects under his responsibility, anticipating the problematics of an evolution
  • Brainstorm on possible solutions with Data Factory IT and with other use cases
  • Follow up and coordinate processes and workshops with the relevant stakeholders
  • Follow up on planning and raise alerts in case of issues
  • Provide support to final use cases
  • Follow the onboarding workflow to onboard use case, and improve needed
  • Understand and analyze the needs of the Business related to Data Factory platform, with the aim of enhancing the system with appropriate and sustainable solutions in line with the entity's strategic plan and the related request portfolio
  • Clarify analysis from a critical and constructive perspective and, as necessary, challenge the need expressed by the Business regarding the entity's strategic plan
  • Ensure that the solution is compatible with the requirements derived from the Business's needs
  • Formalize the statement of requirements and have it validated by the Business
  • Update documentation on different items under its responsibilities.
  • Define, formalize and request validation of requirements related to the need with the stakeholders, in compliance with the entity's applicable practices
  • Help identifying business impacts caused by the solution and prepare action plans
  • If necessary, coordinate tests with various use cases
  • Prepare the deployment, supervise it and validate final Go live
  • Share knowledge about their area of expertise and ensure functional and technical support
  • Coordinate locally the Data Factory developers team in Lisbon

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Agile context (like Kanban, Lean or SCRUM)
  • Experience in IT environments with significant PM experience

Technical Skills:

  • Ensure good communication between different teams acting under its scope, in line with the governance established within DSP department, via assisting to/planning
  • Steering committees according with the needs and criticality
  • Project Control Committee (projects and/or Maintenance Committee (BAU evolutions) according with needs and criticality
  • Provide a vision clear and concise of the status of all topics under its scope during the individual meetings with his manager
  • Upon request, provide required information to the different stakeholders on its topics
  • Provide functional / technical contents on all the evolutions under its scope to the Data Factory business teams, use cases team, Production support team, regarding all the changes.
  • Train the Production support teams
  • Write a release note in English for communication purposes
  • Preliminary studies with the Business
  • Testing activities in their functional/technical scope
