Verisure (known in Portugal as Securitas Direct) is seeking a talented, open minded and a passionate Group Financial controller to join our Group Reporting Centre (GRC) team with colleagues in Sweden, Lisbon, Madrid and other locations.

Location


The position will be based in Lisbon (Portugal), and you will be seated together with colleagues from Group Finance Control as well as the broader Group Finance team based in Lisbon.

You will be reporting to Group Chief Accountant, who is based in Linköping, Sweden. The Lisbon office is the base for around 10 of the Group Finance members. The Group Finance team in total consists of 45 members, based in Geneva, Malmö, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris, and Linköping.

Key Rresponsibilities


As Group Financial Controller, you will be part of the Group Reporting Centre and become a key member of the team and play a critical role to achieve its objectives.

We work together as a team with shared responsibilities and your main areas of responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • HFM is considered to hold the truth the role is crucial to control and deliver the highest quality and reliability of financial data
  • Perform the full consolidation process on a monthly basis
  • Do quality checks of the reported financial and operational data upon monthly closings, forecasting and budgeting from the reporting entities
  • Group adjustments and eliminations based on Group policies
  • Develop and digitalize processes to secure highest quality and timely deliverables
  • Train HFM users in their roles as controllers and/or reporters
  • Support Group Finance Control in preparing quarterly and annual reports in accordance with IFRS
  • Be involved in updating and revising the accounting principles and Financial Policy and Guidelines for the Group

We also see that you have the following experience, qualifications and personality:

Experience and qualifications:

  • Fluency in English, knowledge in other languages is meriting
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting / Business
  • 2+ years of relevant experience of financial accounting processes or similar in a complex and international setting
  • Good knowledge of IFRS regulations and/or group consolidation/accounting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to navigate in an international/multicultural environment
  • Good knowledge in Excel
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge in other languages is meriting
